Background
Little is known about Faris, so again, I'm speculating and making some stuff up, like I did with Reina. She was the firstborn of the two princesses of Tycoon, and was the heir at first, but she disappeared and was found by a pirate. Her pendant was the only thing she had left of the castle.The pirate had a secret soft spot for kids, renamed her Faris since she kept calling herself "Farifa" and encouraged her to dress as a male to save her grief and abuse from the other pirates. Faris showed a quick aptitude for learning and leadership and was promoted in the ranks very quickly. She found Syldra on a beach about two years after the pirates found her, and the two became soulmates ever since. The captain of the ship died when Faris was only 17, but before he died, he dictated Faris to be the next captain. By this time, no one suspected she was a female, but Faris continued to wonder about the origin to her pendant. She never remembered being princess of Tycoon. When she met up with your party she took them captive, but, with a change of heart and desire to learn about her past, frees them, and eventually discovers Reina is her sister.Personality
Faris is one of the strongest, if not THE strongest female in an RPG I've ever seen. First of all, she pulls off being a man for years and not only does that, but becomes a captain doing it! Secondly, although she's selfish, her nice side comes through, when she becomes protective of Lenna and they develop a close relationship together. Though she gets in trouble, she also pulls herself OUT of it. She relies only on herself.Relations
Faris is closest to Lenna in the game. They start off on the wrong foot, when she's kidnapped, but Faris later frees her, and they have no hard feelings. She feels fiercely protective of Lenna and Lenna is glad to learn she has a sister, I think. They become more than just sisters, but more like best friends.Bartz
I want Bartz and Faris to get together! They both have a troubled past and they both love to roam around! They can take care of each other(although they don't need much of it) and they'd have tons of fun roaming the seas. Also, there's a little bit of evidence. First, Bartz occasionally shows feelings- and physical attractions- to Faris. He shows them to Lenna too, but there's more scenes between Bartz and Faris than with Bartz and Lenna. Also, they just mesh more. She's his closest friend besides Galuf and since Galuf, well DIES, well- it's perfect! Lenna'll probably have a political match.Krile and Galuf

They are well devoted to her, but it's a one sided devotion. Faris is very selfish when it comes to them, and she's very domineering. It's clear who's in charge here!Resemblances
Most obviously, Leila of FFII. Well, they both own a ship, they both are very strong, independant women that clearly are tough as nails, and they even look similar. However, Leila is much bitchier despite joining the party to help the world and Faris was nicer in the end, although her motives WERE purely selfish.Katt from Breath of Fire II
They look nothing alike, but both women join your party for selfish reasons, Katt because she was beaten in battle from Ryu and he impressed her, and Faris to find out about herself.Both don't put up with any crap from the flirts in the game(a parallel situation comes to mind when Faris yells at Galuf and Bartz for going into her room and when Katt yells at Sten for playing around with Ryu and another time when the magician shows a total disregard to women and Katt bashes his brains in!) Both women are fiercely independent, strong-willed, outspoken, and fond of threatening to beat people up! (Although Katt is more violent.)
